Moms Embrace Cannabis

With cannabis becoming legal for medicinal and recreational use across the country, women of all ages are coming forward with many questions about the plant, its uses, and its effects.

Studies show that 80% of women are interested in cannabis and want to learn more but feel intimidated or scared to ask, fearing judgment from family and friends or the potential negative impact on their lives and responsibilities.

It’s time to break the stigma around cannabis, fostering community and awareness. Women should feel safe to share their experiences and ask questions without feeling ashamed or embarrassed.

With so much misinformation surrounding cannabis, it’s no wonder that many feel intimidated and even afraid to use the plant or seek guidance. As a society, we’ve been led to believe that cannabis is a gateway drug that causes significant harm and destroys lives. This pervasive fear affects women of all ages, and it’s time for it to end. Even if you choose not to consume cannabis, can we please stop fearing it and allow ourselves to become educated and have open conversations about it?

Why? Because for thousands of years, women have used the cannabis plant for everything from skin and beauty care to health and wellness needs, spiritual practices, and simply for good living and enjoyment. The criminalization of cannabis is relatively new in history, but for most of us, it’s all we’ve known. The fear of potential arrest or having children taken away has led many women to consume in secret. Others are so worried they won’t even talk about the plant, despite its benefits aligning with their needs. Even women who use cannabis for medical purposes, not just recreationally, often feel shame. This shame stems from the belief that cannabis use is wrong and that those who use it are lazy, worthless, and addicted.

Thankfully, science and law are catching up with what human intuition has known all along: the benefits of cannabis cannot be denied. The cannabis plant is a valuable tool for addressing various ailments and needs, from physical health to mental and spiritual well-being.

To support this dialogue, I created a cannabis group in The Nest, a private online community for mothers, where you can ask questions, get answers, and hear about other women’s experiences. Even though it is now legal in many states, the science is still emerging, and sharing our stories is the best way to empower and support each other in using natural tools like cannabis for our health needs.

Join us in The Nest and become part of a supportive community where you can learn and share openly. Click here to join the group and start the conversation today!
